About love...

Eros in Greek mythology was the winged God of love and the son of Aphrodite , the Goddess of beauty and love. The most handsomme of immortals...

His "weapon" is darts or arrows.

Since then, Eros -Cupid - Love  has been reappeared in hundreds of
                masterpieces all over the world

and has scratched and wounded with his arrows millions of people on the earth.

Love, in all its kinds, is the most beautiful and precious feeling that a human being  can experience.

Valentine's day is a good pretext which allows us to escape of the routine and daily life .
Let's celebrate it , each of us in his own way!

I wish St Valentine, the holy priest of Rome, protects all LOVERS

I wish the Eros arrows could find you!

He's coming !!!

This is my cake for this year. It's a normal cake

A special day

That's how my day started today. A good friend was waiting in a cafeteria with these pretty almond branches ..       Great start for Friday!

I didn't even know that the almonds trees are
                         already in bloom!

A little later, two jars of orange sweet  appeared on the table. How nice are friends when they want it !

Returning home, spring knocked on my door once again.A street vendor was selling these narcissus for only 2 euros. Yes, my favorite flowers are tulips but they looked so tender and fresh! After all, I prefer seasonal flowers because they are more natural and I bought them.

On the dining room table, what do I see ?

This lovely bouquet of tulips, my favorite flowers.
                         What's going on ?

Somebody arrived hidden behind a flowerpot with    flamingos......Incredible

                                                           It was my husband !!

You certainly understood that today was a special day for me.
My birthday.

Thank you all, for this beautiful day

Kitchen details

I like to buy things that are connected to a particular moment and that reminds me of something special I have lived.

Bottle from Tuscany and basket from Austria

My "Villeroy & Boch" table and dinnerware

Obsession with containers (from all over Europe)

Kitchen is the place where we prepare food but this is not something that should be done mechanically or forcibly. For this reason I want the kitchen to be a place in order ,delightful and colorful. When I travel I always come back with an object useful or not for my kitchen. So, most things are souvenirs and have sentimental value for me.

                               Stained glass on the wall

Cooking aprons, another obsession of mine !

" Si vous craignez la solitude,ne vous mariez pas "

" If you fear loneliness, don't get married"

I bought this little dish in a flea market in Bruges for 1 euro!

                                     Provence and Scotland

 from Spain

Koch-loeffel from Germany but instead of kitchen tools, I put into thyme and lavender from my garden.

This is a gift of my brother ,from Turkey , it banishes bad energy...who knows? But it's beautiful and hand painted.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged this effort!
I wish you all a nice day !
Love

British highlights (part II)

Impossible to catch with an amateur camera the whole dinosaur in the unique Natural History Museum in London.

" Trademark " for London the Tower Bridge immersed in fog

Smoked salmons "in the making" (somewhere in the Hyde Park)

During a getaway in the Cotswolds, we stopped at Stonehenge but I can't really say that this place fascinated me. I think the picture I took shows it much more "earthy" than mysterious.

But Bath !!!  Rome of England. What a charming city. This is a city not to be missed if you ever stroll in the English countryside. As a World Heritage site , Bath has some of the finest architectural in Europe. Enjoy ...

The Roman Baths

( Ariston men ydor)   Ι lapsed into an ecstasy, noticing upon the façade of the
baths,  the Greek saying attributed to Thales the Milesian: ΑΡΙΣΤΟΝ ΜΕΝ ΥΔΩΡ, which
translates  "Water is best " used as the inscription over the Pump Room at Bath upon the
                                                             Corinthian Columns

A big thank you to Vignette design  and  Just Jeanette !

                                                           I wish you a nice week-end!
