We have finally got
some snow in the mountainous regions all
around so that New Year’s eve was
wonderfully white,
a precious gift for all hearts who were dreaming of it!
We
didn’t miss the chance to enjoy the snowfall and its magic
power to transform the
world, covering rocks, trees, things
left in the yard while it‘s piling up…
I
love snow, I have never had enough snow in my life, so I feel
a kid again,
smaller than my daughter who is 11 now…
I draw near the adorable twins, my nephews
who have
recently turned 4!... Walking in the freshly fallen snow, building
a snowman
and then relaxing by the fireplace what a superb
delight, even my wrenched leg hurts
me less…

It has been four or five years since the last snowfall I think…
But we were in Zurich, the amount of snow was certainly larger!

Days off are ending, we are getting back to routine and the
first thing anguishing me is putting away all festive ornaments
and facing my desk!
and facing my desk!
Hope it will take me only two or three days to overcome the
post-vacation blues, you know what I mean...
post-vacation blues, you know what I mean...
No resolutions, I never make them,
I wish you a healthy year,
a creative
and
peaceful one!
a creative
and
peaceful one!
O
I wish you also a verry good 2015.
ReplyDeleteWe had here also snow, just one day after christmas...
Beautiful photo's Olymphia.
Greetings,
Inge, my choice
Happy new year Olympia. How amazing to see your winter photos while mine are all pictures of a beach.
ReplyDeleteI can relate with you with the holiday blues. It usually takes me weeks before I settle and go back to my daily routine. Most of the time as soon as I come back from my trip, I start planning my next holidays already. Just to have something to look forward to.
All the best in the new year.
Blessings,
Aida
Gorgeous, snowy scenes of your surroundings, Olympia. I'm so glad that you got your wish for a snowy new year, complete with all the charm and coziness that abound in your parts! Thanks for the wonderful walk around your neck of the woods; very pretty!

Hi dear Olympia, you are a lucky Lady, I love snow. It seems to bring the child out in everyone doesn't it! Even though it's cold and messy it's so good to play in and then finally go indoors for hot chocolate next to a warm fire! Wishing you a wonderful 2015! Sharon x
ReplyDeleteWonderful, your snow-photos, dearest Olympia!
ReplyDeleteI can well understand how precious snow is for you, when it is snowing so seldom!
The Year 2015 not sooooo new any more, but nevertheless I wish you a

Spring is my favorite season but a white world...yes...it's wonderful. The last years we have had snow every winter and I appreciated that so much. A walk in a white world is very special!
ReplyDeleteEnjou your evening! Hugs, Ingrid
A little bit too fast...enjou is enjoy!!

Liefs, Gerry
I can imagine your delight and also the children's too at having snow, but has the world been turned up side down? I don't really associate snow with Greece, and here I am on a very mild January day with the sun shinning in a clear blue sky!!! Snow does make for some delightful images though as you have shown.
ReplyDeleteSnow is working like magic in the surroundings, such pretty and cosy photos. I can feel your post-vacation blues...I feel it too !
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a LOT of snow! I hope that you have a great year ahead and what it brings only good things! xx
ReplyDeleteLieve Olympia,
Liefs,Ger
Hello sweet friend! Your snow pictures are simply beautiful. I have always loved the snow and find it to be so enchanting. The blossom in the snow is very pretty....thank you for sharing. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteDearest Olympia,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and for me never any resolutions either.
Glad you got to enjoy your favorite snow. I'm not sorry for missing it here; still it feels too cold at night with -8°C last night and a little bit warmer tonight. We got spoiled after living three winters in the tropics! Sunshine is my favorite...
Lovely photos of your area; enjoy it while it lasts.
Hugs,
Mariette
Such beautiful scenes of a snowy landscape that you have shared with us, Olympia! Your photos are truly magical and capture the briskness and hush of the winter air. Snow does bring out the inner child in us and gives us wonderfully pink cheeks and makes us appreciate that nice warm fire to come inside to. That last photo of the moon at sunset is breathtaking. Hard to say goodbye to all of that, I am sure....We have only had snow once this winter - I hope we have more. I hope your transition back to day to day life goes smoothly. Hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteI feel the blue color of the sky is brighter than ordinary days. You did enjoy the snowfall next day under the sunshine! I have not had a snowfall yet.
ReplyDeleteHello Olympia,
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful snowy images you have shared with us and such a contrast with the heat of a log fire. Such days really do make one wish to hibernate and only venture out when Spring appears.
Wishing you and your family peace, joy and prosperity for 2015. Thank you for the kind comment which you left for us.
Amazing to see snow in Greece we haven't seen any here yet! I love the snow when I don't need to travel through it! Wishing you a Happy and healthy new year. Hope you have settled back to your working routine, it's so hard going back after a long break!. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteYou have snow, lucky you! It was such a treat to see the snow pictures, as I don't get to see much of it where I live unless we go to the mountains, about an hour away. How fun it must be for you to play in the snow with the kids......and feel like a kid again yourself. I think I love the bench picture the best. And that flower picture is lovely, indeed.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun weekend, Olympia.
love, ~Sheri
by the way, I wanted to tell you that it was Nel's husband who bought her the silver teapot. It was such a special gift for her.
Such beautiful snowy images, I enjoyed seeing each one. Love the cosy fireplace too.....perfect to cosy up beside after snowy walks. Wishing you a very Happy 2015, Olympia!
