I hope you all had a great holiday season and you are
facing the New Year with beautiful challenges ahead.
We spent some blissful, sparkling moments with family
and friends during the last holidays.
With all those negative things that
happen around us,
I felt the need to savor deeply each moment,
each second and
really enjoy what we are blessed to have.
We attended a superb ballet show in "Megaron " in Athens
with leading soloists of the Bolshoi and what a treat
that was! An
extraordinary presentation of
“Don Quixote” choreographed
by Alexander Gorski
and music Ludwig Mink.
It was another theatre performance “The wizard of Oz”
in “the Hellenic Cosmos”
a multifunctional area of the
Foundation of Hellenic World where we laughed our
heads
off, very funny show, so we came away happy. We enjoyed an
exciting three
day stay in Arachova, a popular winter destination,
festive luncheons, day
trips in our beautiful region, back
and forth between our two houses, ice
skating rinks for
the little lady, homely coziness, movie nights ,this is what
we did on Christmas time.
It was really fine and thanks God there are still some
restful days ahead before getting through
the winter school blues!
I have been blogging for three years and it is
encouraging to see
people from around the world sharing my articles and photos.
I am extremely grateful to all of you. You are so dear to me and
I do try to be
a visible reader. It is certainly more appreciated!
I would just like to
express how much joy you have given me
and wish for you joy and happiness in
return.
Last year was a
bad one; may 2016 be a better one for all of us!
Happy New Year!
O

ReplyDeleteOlympia, your pictures always take me to another place. They are so sweet and filled with simplicity and beauty. I think my favorite was the tree with the red ornaments against the white snow, so beautiful. And these nature pictures had me smiling too, as I have really been longing to get back to nature. I love how you added a few sparkles and light to your pics this time. And I'm wishing you love and light in the new year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, my friend. I hope it's a good one for me and you. :)
love, ~Sheri

Fine, Olympia, you had such a beautiful Christmas holiday.
ReplyDeleteThere is indeed much misery in the world and in your country, so that I can imagine that you want to set as the gratitude for all that you do have to recharge their energy and to move on.
That God will be with you in the new year, I wish you all very much!
I always enjoy your wonderful photos and your stories with it.
With love, Gerry

ReplyDeleteLieve Olympia,
Lieve groet,Ger

Dear Hilary, I would like to e-mail you the recipe but just can't find your profile on the internet! It's a simple cake with ladyfingers around, lemon glaze and a branch of holly berry for the decoration.
