Flower days...

Photographing inside is difficult to do the right way without 

sufficient natural light. The arrival of spring gives solutions 

to these kind of concerns and throws me 

into new shooting adventures!

So, I’m welcoming you in my home; the town home livened 

up with some fresh bouquets cut straight from the garden.  

It’s again this wonderful time of the year where everything 

smiles both indoors and outdoors. The bloom season invaded 

the vases with those little miracles spreading euphoria all over. 

For me, if you tell me to rank seasons, spring is most 

conducive to happiness. There is something about opening

 the windows, letting the sea breeze inside, loading up on 

the fresh flowers… Ever notice how when the sun is shining 
bright it just makes you smile, no matter what else is going 
on around you… Paradoxically, even if our home is big

enough, it’s poorly lit and a spot of sun is extremely 

precious and welcomed.

  Before saying good bye I would like to add something...
Here in blogland, we usually receive comments from people 

who barely know us... Anyway, the only thing I can tell is that 
in life there is everything, the peachy and the tricky side

as well. In my space, I only share what I truly like. 

A part of my life, not the imperfect or chaotic moments 

I daily experience but the beauty around me, the beauty

 that exists and some people undervalue. 

Photographing lovely moments is my refuge, 

my option of optimism. I offer them to you hoping 

that happy pictures can capture the essence of life
 and transmit good energy! 

So, the sun is out, Easter is rapidly approaching 
and flower days are all ahead. These are the good news!
Let's focus on them!

Our laid-back garden

If there is something that mostly excites me in a garden, 

it is that this blissful space is always in a state of transition 

and never matures. Flowers may grow and flourish, fruit 

become edible but the space itself remains there to be 

started again and again, to be improved, 

to be experienced and challenged. 

It’s been almost three years that we tend the garden in 

the village. A huge effort has been made to give it the punch 

it needed. The backyard has recently been landscaped. 

Newly planted shrubs are hopefully perking up now and 

nothing reminds you of the yard it used to be. We seeded, 

repotted and planted without particular concern in order to 

create an informal, a little wild, and a little aleatory garden. 

A laid-back garden inviting to a lower pace of life where 

we could dine in, sit, unwind, potter and so on.  

I’m so curious of what it will give within a few months.

Τhis is what the country garden looks like in early April 

with the baby wisteria in full bloom, the pebble path beneath 

the pergola, the poppies scattered everywhere in the front 

yard and the overcrowded citrus trees. Our retreat when 

weather and schedules allow it. 

You can’t imagine how happy I felt when I spotted those 

two rattan chairs on the street… Thrown away, they were 

standing there for days…I dragged them home and gave 

them a new lease of life. Not rubbish anymore…

Here in Greece, we are waiting for Easter to come. 

The most significant religious holiday celebrated throughout 

the country. It’s on May first this year. If you are interested

Greek Easter is the pinnacle of the celebration 

of Life, of Spring, of Regeneration. 

I’m in this mood now, happy with the upcoming holidays, 

with the lighter and more colorful days, 

with this colorful world surrounding me.
