Still in summer mood...

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun,
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run…
                                        John Keats (1820)

The summer feeling is still hovering in the air but..

the hot summer is over...

A little crop from our old grapevine and the some figs
placed on the old scales of the grandparents,
have been served to create a shot of farewell to the
lovely and happy summer 2013.

the light is lower,

nevertheless, we are here to enjoy a wonderful
Indian summer
which will introduce us gently and softly into
the new period. Nothing to complain about!

In Greek phthinoporo = autumn means the season where
there is less fruit and vegetables.
Τhe season of colors, flavors and fragrances,
the season of the grape harvest …

Lazy, carefree moments on the roof terrace
before the first rains appear and we have to abandon it!

We continue having supper al fresco, we were
joined by some close friends recently. It’s now fresher
in the garden and the kids can move easily and enjoy
their last free days as school opens on 11th September.

Our oranges are green now but their skin will
turn orange when the weather cools.

Most blogfriends have returned and I’m sending
to all of you my warmest greetings and wishes
for the new season we have ahead.
Loving Fall...
O
